Description
The “Bachelor of Education in Music (Teacher Training for Special Education)” is a 6-semester program taught in German. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Subject Didactics and Methodology in Music and a further subject, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant students. Participants can also choose from a plethora of elective modules and personalise their studies. The BEd is application-oriented and aims to provide them with hands-on experience and key competencies. It offers students the opportunity to carry out semesters abroad and further their qualifications. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills needed for day-to-day operations. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue a teaching career at special education institutions. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
