The “Master of Arts in Musicology” is a 4-semester program taught in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The focal point of the program is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum includes advanced courses in Musicology, Music Theory and Practice, History, Artistic and Scientific Studies, and more. Additionally, participants can personalise their studies by taking up elective modules. The MA is research-oriented and provides students with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out their own projects. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, moderation, communication and organisation, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume managerial positions in Journalism, Music Publishing, Associations and Authorities, PR, Sales and Marketing, HR, and more.
