The teacher training program “Master of Education in Nutrition Studies (Teaching at Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)“ is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It builds on the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The program aims to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum consists of advanced courses in Science and Subject Didactics in Nutrition and a further subject, Methodology, Educational Sciences, and more. Additionally, students can choose between a plethora of elective modules and further their knowledge. The MEd is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience and professional core competencies. The program prepares graduates for the challenging environment of the field and qualifies them to become teachers at grammar schools and comprehensive schools.
