Description
The “Master of Education in Protestant Religious Education (Teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern, Secondary and Comprehensive Schools)” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It builds on the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The aim of the course is to solidify the knowledge of students and provide them with extensive practice work. The curriculum includes advanced modules in Science and Subject Didactics in Protestant Religion and a further subject, Educational Studies, and German for immigrant students. Also, participants can choose from a plethora of elective modules in order to diversify their education. The MEd is application-oriented and teaches students how to turn theory into practice and build a successful career. The program also promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, communication and organisation, decision-making, moderation, etc. Graduates are qualified to work as teachers.
