The “Bachelor of Education in Protestant Religious Education (Teacher Training for Special Education)” is a 6-semester program conducted in German. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses in Specialized Science and Didactics in Protestant Religion and a second subjects, Teaching and Learning, Vocational Pedagogy, Funding Priority, and German for immigrant students. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. The BEd is application-oriented and aims to provide participants with hands-on experience and key competencies. Furthermore, it offers them the opportunity to study abroad and further their qualifications. The program prepares graduates to assume teaching positions at special education institutions. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
