The “Master of Education in Physical Education (Teaching at Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is a 4-semester program taught in German. It builds on the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses in Social and Emotional Development, Learning, Subject Didactics and Methodology, Educational Science, and German for immigrant students. Participants can also diversify their education by undertaking elective modules. Through various case studies and group projects, they’ll gain hands-on experience and professional core competencies. The program also promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and organisation, etc. The MEd prepares graduates for complex tasks and to assume teaching positions at grammar schools and comprehensive schools.
