The six-semester course “Bachelor of Arts in Language and Text Sciences” at the University of Passau is taught in German and sometimes in a foreign language. It introduces to students a profound knowledge of language and literature as well as the conditions of their production and reception. The training includes the core disciplines: linguistics, literary and cultural studies, sciences of linguistic, textual and cultural sign systems. Students can focus on German, English, Romance studies, Slavic studies, media studies or digital humanities. Graduates can begin a career in companies, associations and churches, political parties, authorities, publishing houses, online media, cultural establishments, and public and educational institutions.
