The state examination course “Teaching at Secondary Modern Schools” at the University of Passau is seven semesters long. The goal of the program is to qualify students to teach in secondary schools from late childhood through puberty. The training focuses on acquiring skills in the two subjects and their didactics, pedagogy and psychology, and have internships allowing the students to experience the real school environment. Students develop high-level didactic, organizational and conducting skills. Graduates receive certification for deployment in schools and non-school fields.
