The University of Philosophy and Theology Münster, founded in 1971, is an institution of higher education seated in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is sponsored by the German Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. The University accomodates more than 40 students. The study offer includes the Magister degree program “Catholic Theology“ (M.Theol.), the corresponding Licentiate program with an emphasis on Theology of Spirituality, the doctoral program “Theology of Spirituality“, as well as the continuing education program “Person-Centered Counselling“. The Magister program prepares students for theological activities in various spheres of action such as pastoral service, ecclesiastical administration and association work, educational work and life counselling, theological research, and application-related professions. The doctoral program is carried out in partnership with the Pontifical University Antonianum in Rome. The two-year continuing education program, which is divided into the modules “Fundamentals of the Person-Centered Approach in Theory and Practice“ and “Fundamentals of Person-Centered Counselling“, prepares voluntary workers from fields of activities relating to pastoral work, psychosocial work, education, and medicine for areas of action relating to counselling.
