Description

Society today has become more globalized than ever and with easily-accessible information and fast travel, the world has become a global village. However, culture will always be a fascinating topic to explore. Cultural Geography studies cultures around the world in all their aspects – from how they have originated and developed to how they respond to global changes and trends in modern day. The significance of Cultural Geography lies in culture itself – it provides insight into how people live, what food they eat, their beliefs, traditions and behavioral patterns. Cultural Geography degree programs teach a variety of subjects, the most common of which Space and Social Theory, Citizenship and Belonging, Cities and Social Justice, Cross-Cultural Experiences, Globalization, Regional Geography, Understanding Culture and Education and more. A degree course in Cultural Geography provides a number of topics for research and discussion, so students have the chance to discuss contemporary issues, such as modern migration, globalization and cross-cultural experiences. Cultural Geography graduates can go on to pursue careers in consultancy, human resources management, cultural resources preservation, economics, journalism and media, and other industries.
