The University of Stuttgart, founded in 1967, is a public university seated in Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg. It accomodates ten faculties: the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Energy, Process and Bio-Engineering, the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and Geodesy, the Faculty of Engineering Design, Production Engineering and Automotive Engineering, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, the Faculty of Humanities, and the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences. The University provides almost 28,000 students with 160 Bachelor and Master degree programs as well as teaching education programs. In addition to the conventional course offerings, a number of foreign-language and bilingual studies are on offer as well.
