The University of Teacher Education Fribourg, founded in 2001, is a public institution of higher education seated in Fribourg, Switzerland. In its capacity as a teacher education university, it offers a study program for prospective teachers at pre-primary and primary schools which is conducted both in German and English; the program culminates in a teaching diploma as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-primary and Primary Education. Moreover, the University, in partnership with the University of Fribourg, provides teacher education at secondary level I (subjects: Technical Design and Housekeeping). Also on offer are continuing education courses in Languages, Mathematics and Natural Science, Culture and Society, Music, Art and Design, Movement and Physical Education, Media and ICT, as well as School and Development.
