The University of Teacher Education St. Gallen, founded in 2007, is a public university seated in St. Gallen and with further locations in Rorschach, and Gossau SG. It has currently a total of round about 1,200 students receiving a teacher education. The University offers the six-semester study program “Pre-Primary and Primary Level“, which breaks down into two Diploma programs (A and B), leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Primary Education and Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education, respectively. Added to this is the Bachelor/Master degree program “Secondary Level I“, culminating in a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Master of Science in Secondary Education depending on the respective specialization. Als on offer at Master’s level are the study programs “Early Childhood Studies“, “Remedial Education“ (M.A.), and “School Development“ (M.A.). The University’s teaching offer is rounded off by numerous continuative Diploma and certificate courses.
