The “Lateral Entry/Preparatory Course with Vocational Training” at the University of Teacher Education Zug is designed for people without a high school diploma and prepares participants for the entrance exam. The curriculum incorporates the disciplines: German, mathematics, English or French, natural sciences, history and geography, design, music and sports. The course offers two different modules of study, an extra-occupational annual course (part-time, approx. 50%) and a full-time semester course. In addition, participants have a design and a self-study that helps to make up the knowledge gaps, thematic discussion, deepening of content, and preparation for the entrance exam. Finally, there is the entrance exam, through which participants enter the university.
