The University of Trier, refounded in 1970, is a public university seated in Trier, Rhineland Palatinate. It is divided into six faculties: the Faculty of Education, Philosophy. Psychology and Psychobiology, the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Media Studies, the Faculty of Egyptology, History, Classical Archeology, History of Art, Papyrology, Political Science, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Geography. The University of Trier accomodates round about 13,750 students. In addition to the conventional Bachelor and Master programs, it also offers the postgraduate training course “Psychological Psychotherapy“, making students eligible to become Psychological Psychotherapists. Added to this are study-accompanying certificate courses which can be taken only by students enrolled at the University of Trier. Depending on the respective program, the University of Trier confers the following academic degrees: B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., M.A., M.Sc., and M.Ed.
