Geoecology uses concepts from geosciences, biology, chemistry, physics and ecology to gain understanding of environmental and planetary functions and processes and find efficient and sustainable solutions for any problems related to them. Geoecology university programs most commonly teach subjects like Physics, Advanced Mathematics for Natural Sciences, Basic Geoscience, Analytical Chemistry, Data Analysis and Statistics, Environmental Analytics, Hydrological Methods, Earth Systems Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology and more. A degree course in Geoecology provides students with insight into ecosystems and environmental processes and gives them the necessary preparation to handle complex and challenging environmental issues. Students in Geoecology develop transferable professional skills like data analysis, problem detection, critical-thinking, decision-making and strategic planning skills. Career prospects for Geoecology graduates include jobs in environmental analysis, environmental research, geo-data management, environmental impact assessment, risk insurance and other sectors.
