University of Vienna, founded in 1365, is a public university seated in Vienna. It is the oldest university throughout the German-speaking region. With almost 95,000 currently enrolled, the University of Vienna also is one of the largest universities in Europe. It breaks down into 15 faculties: the Faculty of Catholic Theology, the Faculty of Protestant Theology, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics, the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Philosophy and Education, the Faculty of Psychology, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Mathematics, the Faculty of Physics, the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy, as well as the Faculty of Life Sciences. The University offers 187 Bachelor and Master degree programs, related and unrelated to teacher education.
