Description
The English-taught program ”Master of Laws in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law” at European University Viadrina lasts three semesters full-time or six semesters part-time. The program focuses on providing a theoretical understanding of the issues, principles, structures, substantive law and institutions related to the topic of humanitarian rights, but it also helps students acquire practical skills to apply their theoretical knowledge. Students gain in-depth acquaintances of the personal protection system, practical skills in enclosing international norms of protection in certain circumstances, investigation and research. Graduates could pursue a career in policy-making, international, public and governmental service, public and private legal practice, work for non-governmental organisations, and academic teaching and research. The admission requirement is a university degree in law or an equivalent qualification and English skills.
