The German-taught program ”Master of Arts in Literary Studies: Aesthetics - Literature - Philosophy” at European University Viadrina lasts four semesters. The course focuses on Western and Eastern European literature. The program takes a multi-perspectival approach, aiming for a combination of modern core languages, literary proficiency, expansion of the literary canon, and a research focus as the main features of the course. Students acquire supranational, comparative, intermediate, critical, and questioning thinking skills that develop and strengthen their research abilities. Graduates could specialize as publishers, media, cultural institutions, theatres and agencies. To apply, students should have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant master’s program, as well as English and French skills.
