The YMCA University of Applied Sciences Kassel, founded in 2009, is a state-approved private university seated in Kassel, Hesse. It is sponsored by the CVJM-Bildungswerk. The University aims to combine the three academic disciplines of Theology, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Management. More than 300 students are currently enrolled at YMCA University of Applied Sciences Kassel. The scope of course offerings includes three study courses: the integrative attendance study course “Religious and Parish Education/Social Work“ (B.A.), the extra-occupational Bachelor degree course “Social Work“ (B.A.), as well as the English-taught online course “Human Development“ (B.A.). In addition to Bachelor and Master degree courses, YMCA University of Applied Sciences Kassel also offers a wide range of advanced training and continuing education programs, among them the three-year extra-occupational continuing education course “Theology“.
