ZHAW Zurich – University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2007, is a public institution of higher education seated in Winterthur, Switzerland. It has further sites in Wädenswil, and Zurich. ZHAW constitutes one of several universities belonging to Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Accomodating roughly 12,000 students, it is the third-largest university of applied sciences throughout the Canton. ZHAW breaks down into eight schools: the School of Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering; the School of Health Professions, the School of Applied Linguistics; the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management; the School of Applied Psychology; the School of Social Work; the School of Engineering, as well as the School of Management and Law. On offer are 28 three-year Bachelor degree programs and 18 two-year Master degree programs, as well as more than 800 continuing education opportunities. The scope of Bachelor studies include, among others, the programs “Applied Linguistics“, “Communication“, “Applied Psychology“, “Architecture“, “Civil Engineerigng“, “Aviation“, “Systems Engineering“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Nursing“, “Physiotherapy“, “Facility Management“, “Environmental Engineering“, “Business Information Systems“, as well as “Social Work“. Among the programs offered at Master’s level are “Business Engineering and Production“, “Energy and Environment“, “Industrial Technologies“, “Information and Communication Technologies“, “Civil Engineering and Building Technology“, “Midwifery“, “Occupational Therapy“, “Banking and Finance“, “Health Economics and Healthcare Management“, “International Business“, “Management and Law“, “Marketing“, as well as “Public and Nonprofit Management“.
