STUDYING IN HEILBRONN
The city of Heilbronn is also famous as “Unterland” among many people in Germany because the town literally lies in a valley and is fully surrounded by rolling hills. The place attracts many tourists and students. Despite its size, the city of Heilbronn does provide an excellent level of higher education. The local Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1961 and is currently home to nearly 9,000 students coming from all around the world. In fact, approximately twenty percent of all students enrolled there are foreigners. Every year, there are hundreds of new exchange students coming to Heilbronn to have the best time of their lives and gain valuable knowledge. The Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences offers a huge variety of degree courses students can choose from, including Mechanical Engineering, Applied Computer Science, and Business Management. After choosing the right degree course, prospective students need to decide where they are going to live. Most commonly, they try to find a nice place to live which comes at an affordable price. The cheapest and maybe the most convenient type of student accommodation students will be able to find in Heilbronn are the student dormitory rooms. There are several student dormitories in the city, also called student halls of residences, and they all offer different types of rooms. Applicants can expect to pay between 200 and 260 EUR per month for a room there. And because places in the dormitories are strictly limited, those who want to get a room there need to apply as soon as possible. Fortunately, even if some miss their chance to live in the student halls, they can still look for private accommodation and rent a bedroom in a shared flat in the city. Prices for rooms in such apartments range between 320 and 360 EUR per month with all bills included. Single-bedroom apartments and studios are more expensive – approximately 450 to 550 EUR per month.

Moreover, the city offers some exciting places for students to visit in the evening. Borococo Nightclub is very famous among students and it is always full on Saturday evening. Fahrenheit Le Club is a great spot to meet some good friend over a cocktail. In fact, this is the place where the best cocktails are made and prices are still fair.
