Only four kilometers away from the city center is located the Innsbruck Airport which offers regular flights during the whole year to major destinations such as London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt am Main.

Located in the heart of the Alps, Innsbruck is a city that has much to offer, including in terms of higher education. Founded in 1669, the University of Innsbruck is the third-biggest higher education institution in the country of Austria. Nowadays, the University of Innsbruck is home to more than 27, 000 students and at least twenty percent of them are internationals from all around the world. The higher education institution is a really popular destination for exchange students looking to spend a semester or a whole year in the beautiful city of Innsbruck.
