Königs Wusterhausen is home to the University of Applied Sciences for Finance Brandenburg. It was founded in 1991 by the Brandenburg Ministry of Finance, together with the State Finance School and the training center of the financial administration. Since then the University strives to train students for becoming tax officials. Some of the subjects that students will have the chance to explore by enrolling in this university include Tax Code, Accounting Tax Law, Methodology of the Application of the Law, Public Law, Private Law, and more. After completing their education at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance, graduates will obtain a Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH) diploma degree. This will offer graduates career prospects in civil services. The University offers around 450 available rooms for training participants. Depending on their training students will be accommodated in one of the eight houses situated on campus. Each house offers rooms with a shared hallway and bathrooms. The rental price for the rooms ranges from 220 EUR to 250 EUR per month including bills like electricity, water, WiFi, and others. Most of the rooms are fully furnished with wardrobes, desks, cupboards, television sets, and more.
