Tubingen is a small and beautiful university city in Germany in the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Its total area equals 108.12 km2, with almost 90,000 people living, studying and working in the city. Approximately twenty percent of the inhabitants are actually foreigners from all around Europe. German is the official language in the city of Tubingen. Tubingen has a temperate climate, with warm and nice summers but cold winters. The city attracts hundreds of students, both exchange and full-time ones, thanks to the quality of the higher education provided there. Founded in 1477, The Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen is one of the oldest university in the Federal Republic. It provides an excellent level of research and teaching methods to students from all around the world for more than 500 years already.
