With a population of about 114,000 people, Winterthur is the sixth-largest city in Switzerland and the second-largest city in the Zurich canton. Winterthur is home to one of the largest Universities of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, namely Zurich University of Applied Science (ZHAW).
