Losing my best friend

Published by:  MariaG

My best friend and I have known each other for more than five years. We have been inseparable until the moment I cam to study in Vienna. At the beginning we spoke often to each other with video calls and everything but lately I am so overwhelmed with work that I don’t really have time for her… Of course she is getting frustrated and I am afraid that I might lose her and I really count on her as a friend. What can I do to save our friendship? Has any of you guys been through the same?

Talk to her… you need to get things straight and it shouldn’t be a problem if you are such good friends. Communication is always the key… at least for me

Yes, I had a similar situation with my best friend. There was time we weren’t so close while I was away studying but when I got back home I sat down and spoke to him. Since then we started talking more and more, FaceTime, chats and he also came to visit me twice.

Tell her that you miss her and ask her what is exactly that is bothering her about the current situation with your friendship. Give her some space to think things through and just see what will happen. If she is a true friend she should understand you… it’s not something you are doing on purpose it’s your studies we are talking about, this is an ecually important part of your life. I don’t think its true friendship if it falls apart because of such silly reason.
