The full-time study program “Master of Arts in Art Therapy” offered by Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences includes properly education oneself for the many needs of working as a professional art therapist. The studies are based on the student`s own artistic abilities and prior experience. On the ground of medical-psychological, artistic, and art-therapy discoveries and practice, the goal is to build therapeutic competences. Furthermore, art therapy research is also a big part of the curriculum, and it lays the groundwork for future academic qualifications and leadership roles. The course of study is compound of five fields that blend theory and practice- Art and Art Therapy, Medical-Psychological Expertise, Professional Skills in Art Therapy, Research Skills, and Art Therapy in Practice. The practice includes four internships and projects.
