The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the seven-semesters Bachelor's degree “Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education”. This program provides the students with both face-to-face study and another form of study, which integrates work and training for working with children from their birth to the end of primary school age. It also includes working in multi-professional teams and work with parents and caregivers. The main purpose of this bachelor degree is to offer the students research-related and self-reflection challenging tasks, in order to gain scientific knowledge and methods within the pedagogical working process and develop their own professional self-image. The Early Childhood Education BA also offers a qualification of childhood educator in many different areas, such as childcare, youth welfare, primary schools, counselling and management. This course has a January, March and August application deadlines, and provides summer and winter semesters.
