The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the Master's degree “Master of Arts in Practical Research in Social Work and Early Education”. This program is aimed at technical university graduates who have already completed bachelor's or diploma degree in the field of social work, social pedagogy, childhood pedagogy or any comparable degree. The main purpose of this course is to provide the students the opportunity to participate in the process of scientifically establishing profession and a further development practice based on the research. It also aims to prepare the individuals to the social work and education, the changes, as well as innovative approaches to participation and social cohesion. This course focuses mainly on dealing with practical issues, while using scientific methods. It enables the students to proficiently reflect on social conditions and challenges for social work and education, to analyses theoretical disciplines and bases, as well as to practice qualitative and quantitative research methods.
