Description
The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the three-semester, full- or part-time Master’s course “Master of Arts in Social Work - Critical Diversity and Community Studies”. This course and its partnership with the state institutions and independent organizations, social movements and interest groups, contribute to more social justice through power-critical, intersectional and community-oriented transformations and actions. The main purposes of this program are to enable the students to understand social inequality, differentiation and conflicts, as well as to understand the resources, resistance and potential for change in their societal, historical, political and economic aspects on the basis of the community orientated theories and studies. Thus, it gives the perspectives for action beyond the individual case and is aimed at social change in various fields of action within the social work.
