Description
The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin offers the study course “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work”, which enables the students to work independently in the various fields of social work. This Bachelor program provides practical knowledge and methods, as well as skills for critical-reflexive thinking and acting. The main purpose of the diverse theories and methods that student will learn throughout this module enable them to justify and reflect on variety of professional activities. It also gives the ability to react in complex challenges within the social work, while setting personal priorities and specializations. The Social Work course includes a four-semester project course that is thematically co-designed by students, as well as it focuses on diversity - including gender, racism, migration and cultural education. It is highly internationalised course and the students could visit different countries and cultures and have a chance to experience a year of studying abroad. This Bachelor degree gives the students a chance to work for independent organizations, authorities, companies or even to be self-employed social workers.
