The Allensbach University of Applied Sciences offers the Bachelor degree course “Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: Banking”. It is project- and practice-oriented, and focuses on the front- and back-office procedures concerning crediting, accounting, transactions and investment. Alongside these, the legal framework of financial operations is also dealt with, so control, audit, compliance, liabilities also form part of the subjects taught. The elective degree also follows the manager qualification requirements according to KWG – the law governing German banking system. Private and state banks, foreign banks included, fund providers, insurance companies, consultancies, all these might become future graduates’ employers. The eligibility criteria include the necessary entrance academic qualification, plus a professional one, and a completed first year of study at a university. The degree has a full-time and a part-time option, the standard length of the course is six semesters.
