Description
The three-semester study course “Master of Science in Photovoltaics Engineering Science” is provided by the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Entirely English-taught the full-time course consists of modules where the focus falls on solar cell physics, technology of crystalline silicon and thin-film solar cells, materials characterization, components of a PV system and their reliability, system design, monitoring, yield and performance analysis, storage systems and electric grids along with solar energy integration. By combining lectures with exercises, seminars and practical laboratory work, the program builds on the fundamentals in mathematics, physics, engineering and scientific methodology. The graduates gain the access to work as engineers in research and development, design, construction, operation or management of photovoltaic power plants.
