Description

The “Care For The Elderly” course at Apollon Academy has a length of 12 months. Students acquire knowledge on the work processes in care facilities, the basic care techniques, good communication and nutritional needs of the elderly. Psychology in old age, Balanced diet in old age and in the event of illness, Legal requirements for caregivers and other subjects are part of the course curriculum. In order to receive a certificate, participants must present 2 internships and a completed first aid course. After completing the program, graduates are able to pursue careers in nursing homes, advice centers, social stations and more.
