Berlin School of Economics and Law, founded in 1971, is a public university of applied sciences. It is comprised of five departments: the Department of Business and Economics, the Department of Cooperative Studies, the Department of Public Administraion, the Department of Legal Studies, and the Department of Police and Security Management. Approximately 10,000 students spread across three sites within Berlin. The scope of studies offered comprises more than 50 Bachelor, Master and MBA programs, as well as correspondence courses and postgraduate certification programs. At Bachelor’s level, two forms of studies are possible: For one thing, the School, in partnership with a foreign institution of higher education, offers double degree programs in Management International, International Business Administration Exchange, and International Business; for another thing, it provides dual studies in seven study programs. Master programs, which are mostly held in English, can be taken as full-time studies, correspondence studies, or dual (extra-occupational) studies. Individuals seeking a career in public administration or in law enforcement are provided with the Diploma programs “Higher External Service“, and “Judicature“.
