“Art in Context” is a four-semester full-time or six-semester part-time Master of Arts degree at the Berlin University of the Arts, designed for those who plan to do artistic work in different social contexts. The program is structured into four focus modules in different occupational areas - Art and Public, Arts and Science, Economics of the Cultural field, Media theory and practice. These come after an introductory module and lead to a final project-oriented one. Graduates are prepared for artistic intervention, curatorial work, artistic work with various social groups and institutions, participatory projects and image production, among others. Requirements include a graduation certificate from an artistic- creative higher-education institution, at least one year working experience in a relevant professional field, and sufficient knowledge of German. The deadlines for application should be strictly respected.
