The Master’s degree “Master of Arts in Design” is a continuation of the respective BA offered by the Berlin University of Arts. It consists of two semesters and brings its holder 60 credit point. There is a Master’s examination at the end. As a continuation of the artistic and scientific abilities achieved in the previous degree, it is also project-based, and the topics are annually updated by the university, so they should be consulted prior to application. Portfolio, a short project outline, and a short video motivation are necessary for the admission procedure. The curriculum is modularized and encompasses social, humanities, cultural studies, arts and technologies in its framework of study. Interdisciplinary approach lays the foundations for developing independent artistic skills and position. Current theoretical discourse is provided in lectures and seminars. Academic advising, field excursions, colloquium presentation complement the studies.
