The ten-semester study course “Fine Arts” is offered at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Berlin University of Arts. Students who complete the full program with distinction are awarded the title Meisterschüler or Meisterschülerin. After the foundation course in the first two semesters, students choose a profile in Painting, Sculpture, New Media and Photography. B2 level of German is necessary for international students. The program is directed at familiarizing young people with artistic talents, who envisage an independent career path in visual and fine arts, with the necessary means of expression. Crafts, workshops, and specialized classes aim at unfolding students’ individual artistic talents. Interdisciplinary studies in arts history, philosophy, aesthetics and art science complement the theoretical foundations of the program. The deadlines for application should be strictly respected.
