The bachelor’s teaching degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Music: Elementary Schools” includes six semesters of 180 credit points, and is divided into the following parts: German as first subject, Mathematics as second subject and a core subject of music, practical studies, and a Bachelor thesis. Music didactics and music aesthetics qualify students for pedagogical work with children in schools or freelance professional work. Artistic talent, qualification for university entrance (Abitur), or equivalent, and a good level of German are the general requirements. The modules are held at the Center for Artistic Teacher Education.
