The degree program “Master of Education in Music: Integrated Secondary Schools and Grammar Schools” at Berlin University of Arts can be obtained during a four-semester long course of studies, throughout which students have the opportunity to master music expression and interpretation skills, as well as learn the necessary competences in teaching schoolchildren. In order to do so, prospective graduates have to pass a selection exam to have their artistic degree evaluated, prove they have a suitable level of studies, a compatible Bachelor’s degree, and language proficiency. Complementing the major subject is available with others to choose from. The form of teaching and learning is modular and culminates in a Master thesis defence.
