Description
A successfully passed entrance exam in main instrument, music theory and sight-reading, proof of knowledge of German (B level), and completed high-school studies are the prerequisites for enrolling in the Bachelor “Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Instruments” at the Berlin University of Arts. The study plan covers eight semesters, but up to two can be granted for justified leave. The program is divided into modules of compulsory and elective scientific and performance subjects, such as Fundamentals of interpretation and style, repertoire, artistic maturity, to name some, lectures, seminars, individual and group lessons. The degree is granted after the successful completion of all exams and proof of the individual commitment, progress, merit and achievement. Students can rely on the mentorship of university lecturers and student assistants who are appointed as their advisors.
