Description
The period of study of the German-taught program “Bachelor of Music in Organ/Organ Improvisation” at the Berlin University of Arts, which is designed in modular form, lasts eight semesters. The first three modules develop technical skills and basics in one-to-one lessons, the fourth module focuses on practical subsidiary subjects like piano, basso continuo, choir. Module five is dedicated to organ studies, the sixth one - to musicology and music theory. The eighth one is elective on organ improvisation or harpsichord/forte piano (for organ majors), organ or harpsichord/forte piano (for organ improvisation majors). The eights module deals with complementary subjects like music physiology, music management, instrumental pedagogy. The entrance exam is arranged into performance and improvisation pieces, and a written test.
