Having completed a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in solo singing/solo voice, talented vocal artists can pursue the four-semester program “Master of Musci in Lied/Oratorio/Concert”, offered by the Berlin University of Arts. Following a specific pre-selection and admission procedure, it gives them 120 credit points and a chance to perform on stage accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Berlin University of the Arts in opera productions, concerts and lied recitals at the UNI.T or other prestigious venues. The essence of the advanced course of studies lies in the importance it pays to practice and training with the individuality of the singers, musicians and performers in mind. Collaboration in the making of an accomplished versatile musical professional is also seen as essential, so the Chair of Contemporary Lied, the Institute of New Music, the Department of Early Music, and Conducting, Piano, Sound Engineering, Stage Design and Costume Design departments are also parties involved. Supervision by professors or university assistants is a valuable concept at the university.
