The “Master of Arts in Expanded Theater” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences is with a length 3 full-time or 5 part-time semesters. The emphasis is on the creation and implementation of one's own artistic concepts as well as a practical investigation of modern forms of theater. Interior design, lighting design, sound, and media are examples of themes that go beyond just performing talents. There are a limited number of spots available on the course (numerus clausus). An examination is used to determine whether or not you are suitable for the course. The admission exam assesses artistic abilities based on past work and a well-defined project proposal.
