Description
The “Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Management” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences focuses on sustainably produced and innovative food: from agricultural production to processing and distribution to consumption and nutritional issues. During 6 full- or 7-10 part-time semesters, students benefit from high practical relevance in the form of numerous excursions, guest lectures from the industry, company visits and project work. The program blends solid food technology abilities with business and consumer science knowledge. Admission requirements include a federal vocational baccalaureate, a federally recognized baccalaureate, a specialist baccalaureate or an equivalent school education at the higher technical colleges "Strickhof" or "Institut agricole de Grangeneuve", as well as an apprenticeship in a related profession or an accompanied pre-study internship in the food industry.
