The “Bachelor of Science in Nursing” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6 full-time semesters, followed by a ten-month additional module in practice. The course provides the prerequisites for students to get both a scientific bachelor's degree and professional certifications upon completion of their studies through a coordinated blend of practical and theoretical study. The curriculum of the degree works according to the principle of problem-based learning. Candidates are admitted to the program provided they match the school's standards, have passed the aptitude exam, and can show proof of a two-month nursing internship in a health or social care setting, as well as German language skills at level C1 prior to the commencement of the program.
