The “Qualified Technician in Wood Technology” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences requires а completed apprenticeship in the timber industry and initial professional experience. Students specialize in timber construction, carpentry, interior fittings or timber industry and trade. The cooperation with the timber industry as well as with associations, research and educational institutions is of great importance for the further development of the course. In order to be admitted, candidates must have completed an internship in the wood construction specialization as a carpenter or wood construction specialist with a federal certificate of proficiency or similar.
