The “Bachelor of Science in Sports” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences is Switzerland's only university-level program of its sort, laying the groundwork for both professional and scholarly careers in the subject. The curriculum includes a long-term internship for long-term practical application and allows students to select between two specializations: sports management or sports didactics. Municipalities, cantons (primarily sports offices), sports clubs and associations, non-profit organizations, youth organizations, organizations for exercise and sport for people with disabilities, commercial sports providers (e.g. operators of sports and leisure facilities, event organizers, sporting goods industry), and other organizations are possible employers for graduates.
