The “Bachelor of Science in Wood Technology” program at Bern University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6 full-time semesters and an optional nine-month part-time internship is possible after consultation with the course director. The course covers a broad range of topics, including raw materials and semi-finished goods, as well as supporting structures, furniture, and energy-efficient structures, as well as corporate organization and management. It is tailored to the timber industry's and associated industries' requirements and demands. Admission requirements include a vocational baccalaureate and a completed apprenticeship in the field of wood or another related profession. People with a high school diploma or a vocational diploma in an unrelated profession and a one-year internship in the timber industry are also entitled to study.
